Evening primrose oil capsules

Function and Efficacy

This product contains rich g-linolenic acid (GLA), which can be converted into PEG2, PGI2, and PGF2a, and has obvious lipid-lowering and anti-platelet aggregation effects. G-linolenic acid has obvious cholesterol-lowering effect, and its efficacy is 163 times that of linoleic acid. Evening primrose oil can reduce serum total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and very low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in hyperlipidemic rats, and significantly increase the level of high-density cholesterol. The change in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol is due to the increase in the cholesterol level of high-density lipoprotein subfractions, and there is no significant change in the cholesterol level outside the high-density lipoprotein subfractions. Wistar rats were gavaged with hyperlipidemic modeling agents or ethylsulfate to create a hyperlipidemia pathological model. The results showed that evening primrose oil and its sodium salt have strong lipid-lowering and anti-atherosclerotic effects. This product can participate in the synthesis and balance of prostaglandins. It can also significantly inhibit platelet aggregation and the synthesis of thromboxane A2 (TXA2) by platelets, thereby changing the ratio of TXA2/PGI2, and has the effect of preventing and treating thrombotic cardiovascular diseases. G-linolenic acid stimulates brown adipose tissue, promotes the activity of brown fatty acid mitochondria, consumes excess calories and achieves a certain weight loss effect.
