Function and Efficacy
This product is a bisphosphonate drug. In vitro and animal tests have shown that it can strongly inhibit the dissolution of hydroxyapatite and the activity of osteoclasts, and has a very significant inhibitory effect on bone absorption. It has an analgesic effect on pain caused by osteolytic bone metastasis of cancer, and can also be used to treat hypercalcemia caused by cancer.
Ingredients
The chemical name is: 3-amino-1-hydroxypropylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid disodium pentahydrate.
Appearance
This product is white freeze-dried block.
Indication
Hypercalcemia complicated by malignancy and bone pain caused by osteolytic cancer metastasis.
Usage and Dosage
Treatment of bone metastasis pain: dilute in 0.9% saline or 5% glucose solution without calcium ions before use. Slow intravenous drip for more than 4 hours, the concentration should not exceed 15mg/125ml, and the drip rate should not be greater than 15-30mg/2 hours. 30-60mg per dose. Treatment of hypercalcemia: Strictly follow the blood calcium concentration and use the drug as appropriate under the guidance of a doctor. Adverse Reactions
A small number of patients may experience mild nausea, chest pain, chest tightness, dizziness, fatigue, and slight changes in liver and kidney function, and occasionally fever.
Precautions
Patients with a history of allergy to this product and bisphosphonates are contraindicated.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Generally not used, may affect bone growth. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant women should weigh the pros and cons of medication, the drug can enter breast milk, so lactating women should use it with caution. Precautions for the elderly: Appropriately reduce the dosage.
