Naftopidil Tablets
Function and Efficacy
Naftopidil is a selective α1 receptor antagonist that can inhibit the increase in blood pressure caused by α1 receptors. Pharmacodynamic tests have shown that this product has a hypotensive effect on a variety of hypertensive animal models, with a long duration of hypotension, and does not cause reflex tachycardia during hypotension. No obvious first-dose effect or drug resistance was observed after multiple oral administrations. The results of cardiac hemodynamic tests showed that this product can reduce the total peripheral resistance of anesthetized open-chest dogs, dilate peripheral blood vessels, and have no significant effect on cardiac output. This product can also relieve the sympathetic tension of the prostate and urethra caused by the excitement of the receptor through the α1 receptor blocking effect, reduce the intraurethral pressure, and improve symptoms such as urination disorders caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia.
