What is Fusidic acid?

The molecular formula of sodium salt is C31H47NaO6. Fusidic acid is highly sensitive to all kinds of Gram-positive cocci associated with skin infections, especially Staphylococcus. It is also effective against drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and has certain antimicrobial activity against some Gram-negative bacteria. Fusidic acid is also used for deep infections that have failed to be treated with other antibiotics, such as sepsis, pneumonia, endocarditis, etc. Adults: Oral, 500mg once, tid; Severe cases doubled. Topical administration, bid ~ tid, applied to the affected area, the course of 7 days. Treatment of scabies with Chemicalbook can be extended according to the needs of the condition. Children: Oral, 50mg/kg per day for children under 1 year old, divided into three doses; 250mg once, tid for children aged 1 to 5 years; For children aged 5 to 12 years, the dosage is the same as that of adults.
