Chondroitin sulfate is widely present in human and animal cartilage tissues. Its medicinal preparations mainly contain two isomers, chondroitin sulfate A and chondroitin sulfate C, and the content of chondroitin sulfate is different in the cartilage of different species and ages. Its pharmacological effects are as follows: 1, Chondroitin sulfate can remove lipids and lipoproteins in the blood in the body, remove cholesterol in the blood vessels around the heart, prevent atherosclerosis, and increase the conversion rate of lipids and fatty acids in the cell. 2, chondroitin sulfate can effectively prevent and treat coronary heart disease. It has anti-atherosclerotic and anti-atherosclerotic plaque formation effect on experimental arteriosclerosis model. Increases atherosclerotic coronary artery dissection or collateral circulation and accelerates healing, regeneration, and repair of myocardial necrosis or degeneration caused by experimental coronary atherosclerosis or embolization. 3, can increase the cell messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) biosynthesis and has the role of promoting cell metabolism. 4.
