It is the most commonly used standard glutaraldehyde fixative and is mainly used for fixing electron microscopy specimens. Not applicable for fixed nucleic acid and polysaccharide substances. The production method involves adding vinyl ether and acrolein to a reaction kettle, cooling to 5 ℃, adding zinc bromide, stirring in a closed container, slowly heating up, and holding at 48-53 ℃ for 3 hours. After cooling to 25 ° E, wash the layers with water, distill the organic layer, and collect the fraction at 80-82 ° C (Chemical Book 10.67kPa), which is 2-ethyloxy-3,4-dihydropyran with a yield of 66%. Add water, hydrochloric acid, and the above intermediate into a hydrolysis pot, stir and hydrolyze for 1 hour, let it stand for 0.5 hours to obtain glutaraldehyde solution, and evaporate ethanol to obtain a 25% aqueous solution. Neutralize with sodium bicarbonate, saturate with salt, and extract twice with ether. After recovering ether from the extraction solution, vacuum distillation is carried out to collect a fraction at 75-8l ℃ (2.0kPa), which is the finished product.
