Oclacitinib is a synthetic intracellular non receptor tyrosine kinase (JAK) inhibitor that works by inhibiting various cytokines that rely on JAK1 and JAK3 enzyme activity to induce itching and inflammation, as well as cytokines related to allergies.
Indications: Used to control pruritus and atopic dermatitis caused by allergic dermatitis in dogs.
Preparation specifications: Olatinib Maleate Tablets, 3.6 mg/tablet, 5.4 mg/tablet, 16 mg/tablet
Dosage: For dogs: calculated as Olatinib, 0.4-0.6mg/kg · wb, twice a day for 14 days, followed by once a day for maintenance treatment. Not yet registered for cats.

Advantages: This drug has no effect on cytokines related to hematopoiesis (dependent on JAK2). After oral administration, the drug is rapidly and well absorbed in dogs.
Pharmacokinetics: The elimination half-life of intravenous and oral administration is similar, with an absolute bioavailability of 89% and a low binding rate to plasma proteins (66.3% to 69.7%).
Metabolism: Drugs in dogs are mainly cleared through metabolism, with some also excreted through the kidneys and bile. A major oxidative metabolite can be detected in plasma and urine.
Adverse reactions: May increase susceptibility to infection, including demodex disease and tumor progression.
