• Green and Environmentally Friendly:
  DMC has very low toxicity and is considered a green alternative to conventional solvents such as ethyl acetate and toluene. In methylation and carbonylation reactions, it can replace highly toxic phosgene and carcinogenic dimethyl sulfate, offering a safer and more environmentally sustainable option.

• Versatile Reactivity:
  The molecular structure contains methyl, methoxy, and carbonyl groups, allowing DMC to participate in various organic reactions, including methylation and carbonylation.

🏭 Main Applications

• Green Solvent:
  Used as a low-toxicity solvent in coatings, paints, and adhesives.

• Organic Synthesis Intermediate:
  Employed in the production of important chemicals such as polycarbonates (PC), pharmaceuticals, and pesticides (e.g., carbamates).

• Lithium-Ion Battery Electrolyte:
  High-purity battery-grade DMC is a key solvent component in lithium battery electrolytes.

• Gasoline Additive:
  Due to its high oxygen content, it can be used as a fuel additive to boost octane ratings.
