      Product Introduction

Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulfonic Acid (LABSA, CAS:42615‑29‑2, molecular formulais a high‑performance anionic surfactant raw material produced via sulfonation reaction of linear alkyl benzene (LAB) with sulfur trioxide, followed by aging and refining process. It appears as light yellow to brown viscous oily liquid, with slight characteristic sulfur‑acid odor, easily soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in ether. After neutralization with alkali, it generates alkylbenzene sulfonate salt with excellent surface‑active performance. Compared with branched‑chain alkyl benzene sulfonic acid, linear‑chain structure provides better biodegradability, strong detergency and outstanding hard‑water resistance. Thanks to its excellent decontamination, emulsification, foaming and wetting capability, it has become the most mainstream raw material for detergent industry, complying with industrial surfactant specifications. Our production adopts continuous SO₃ film sulfonation technology to strictly control free oil, inorganic acid and impurity indicators, stable active content, widely applied across daily‑chemical detergent manufacturing, textile processing, leather degreasing, pesticide emulsifier and fine chemical synthesis fields。

    Applications
Daily‑Chemical Detergent Industry (Core Consumption Field): It is the key raw material for producing various domestic and industrial cleaning products. After neutralization with sodium hydroxide, it is widely used for laundry powder, liquid laundry detergent, dish‑washing liquid and multi‑purpose cleaners. It delivers powerful grease‑removing, foaming and anti‑hard‑water performance. For acidic toilet cleaners and scale‑removal detergents, it can be directly formulated without full neutralization to provide both cleaning and certain descaling effect. It is also the core feedstock for producing sodium alkyl benzene sulfonate, ammonium salt and ethanolamine salt derivatives
Textile Printing & Dyeing Industry: Applied as wetting agent, scouring agent and detergent for textile fabric pretreatment. It removes textile oil stains and impurities on fiber surface, improves dye permeability and uniformity, reduces fabric color‑spot risk; also used for textile waste‑water de‑oiling treatment.
Leather Processing Industry: Acts as efficient degreasing agent for raw leather. It dissolves and disperses animal fat on leather surface, improves leather penetration for subsequent tanning agent, optimizes finished leather softness and grain quality.
Pesticide & Emulsifier Formulation: Serves as emulsifier and dispersant raw material for pesticide EC formulations. It assists pesticide active ingredients to disperse stably in water phase, improve suspension stability of spray liquid and enhance drug efficacy.
Fine Chemical and Other Fields: Important intermediate for synthesis of various anionic surfactant derivatives; also used for industrial metal surface degreasing, paper‑making de‑inking agent, and amino baking paint curing catalyst in coating industry

    Product Advantages
✅ Linear‑chain molecular structure brings excellent biodegradability, low environmental burden compared with branched‑chain counterparts, compliant with mainstream surfactant environmental requirements.
✅ Strict process control for free oil and inorganic acid impurities, reducing corrosion risk for downstream production equipment and avoiding bad odor of finished detergent products.
✅ Excellent compound compatibility, easy to match with non‑ionic and other anionic surfactants to optimize foaming, detergency and formulation stability.
✅ Full batch inspection before shipment, complete COA test report, MSDS and relevant export documents provided for customs clearance of various countries.
✅ Large‑scale continuous sulfonation production line guarantees abundant spot stock, supporting small sample trial purchase and full‑container long‑term framework order with fast delivery arrangement.

    Packaging & Storage
Standard package: 210kg HDPE plastic drum / iron drum with inner anti‑corrosion coating; ISO tank container can be customized for large‑volume bulk orders. Store products inside cool, dry and well‑ventilated indoor warehouse, keep packages tightly sealed all the time. Keep far away from strong alkali, oxidizing agents and heat sources. Avoid direct sunlight exposure and rainwater soaking during stacking and transit. Prevent contact with moisture. Valid shelf life reaches 24 months under standard sealed dry storage condition.
    Safety Information
Corrosive organic sulfonic acid, may cause severe irritation & corrosion to skin, mucosa and eyes. Long‑time or direct contact will trigger skin burning, redness and swelling; splashing into eyes will lead to serious eye injury. Wear chemical‑resistant gloves, anti‑corrosion goggles and chemical protective clothing during unloading and feeding operations, avoid liquid splashing and aerosol inhalation. UN number:2586, belongs to class 8 corrosive goods for international land, sea and air transportation. Complete MSDS including leakage disposal treatment, accidental contact first‑aid guidance will be supplied with each batch of goods。

    Acids, Strong Oxidizing

    Reactivity Alerts:

    Known Catalytic Activity

    Reactivity Profile:

Oxidizing acids are generally soluble in water with the release of hydrogen ions. The resulting solutions have pH's of less than 7.0. Materials in this group react with chemical bases (for example: amines and inorganic hydroxides) to form salts. These neutralization reactions occur as the base accepts hydrogen ions that the acid donates. Neutralizations can generate dangerously large amounts of heat in small spaces. The dissolution of acids in water or the dilution of their concentrated solutions with water may generate significant heat. The addition of water acids often generates sufficient heat in the small region of mixing to boil some of the water explosively. The resulting "bumping" spatters acid widely. These materials have significant ability as oxidizing agents. but that ability varies (for example, from high for nitric acid to low for sulfuric acid and most sulfonic acids). They can react with active metals, including iron and aluminum, and also many less active metals, to dissolve the metal and liberate hydrogen and/or toxic gases. Like other acids, materials in this group can initiate polymerization in certain classes of organic compounds. Their reactions with cyanide salts and compounds release gaseous hydrogen cyanide. Flammable and/or toxic gases are also often generated by their reactions with dithiocarbamates, isocyanates, mercaptans, nitrides, nitriles, sulfides, and weak or strong reducing agents. Additional gas-generating reactions occur with sulfites, nitrites, thiosulfates (to give H2S and SO3), dithionites (SO2), and even carbonates: the carbon dioxide gas from the last is nontoxic but the heat and spattering from the reaction can be troublesome. May often catalyze chemical reactions.
