Kisspeptin-10 (KP-10, Metastin 45-54) is a decapeptide with the sequence Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe-NH2, representing the biologically active C-terminal fragment of the kisspeptin precursor protein (KISS1 gene product). Kisspeptins are potent agonists of the G-protein coupled receptor GPR54 (also known as KISS1R), which plays a critical role in the regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, puberty onset, and reproductive function.
