6-CHLORO-3-NITROQUINOLIN-4-OL Use and Manufacturing
Step 2 A 500 mL round bottom flask was charged with 5-chloro-2-(2- nitroethylideneamino)benzoic acid (25 g, 0.10 mol), K6-Chloro-3-nitroquinolin-4-ol (C): Potassium carbonate (11.3 g, 82 mmol) and 5- chloro-2-(2-nitrovinylamino)benzoic acid (6.6 g, 27.2 mmol) were suspended in acetic anhydride (70 mL). The resulting mixture was heated at 90 °C for 1 hour. After cooling, a yellow precipitate formed, which was collected by filtration, washed with acetic acid and water, dried to give the title compound (3.4 g, 56percent yield). ‘H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): 13.19 (bs, 1H), 9.24 (s, 1H), 8.18 (d, 1H), 7.85 (dd, 1H), 7.76 (d, 1H).
