2-Ethylhexyl 10-ethyl-4,4-dioctyl-7-oxo-8-oxa-3,5-dithia-4-stannatetradecanoate Use and Manufacturing
It is obtained by reacting di-n-octyl tin oxide with thioglycolic acid (2-ethylhexyl ester). Suspend di-n-octyl tin oxide in water, heat to 60°C, add thioglycolic acid (2-ethylhexyl) within half an hour, stir the mixture at 60°C for 30 minutes, separate the water layer, and dry , Filter, and get the finished product.
This product is a polyvinyl chloride stabilizer with excellent thermal stability processing adaptability. The initial coloring is small, the transparency of the product is high, and the printability is good. Suitable for hard and soft products, such as plates, pipes, films and various packaging containers. Because this product contains a large ester group, it has good compatibility with resin and has a certain plasticizing effect, which can reduce the heat deformation temperature of hard products. And because no solvent or diluent is needed in the refining and mixing process, the resulting product has pleasant luster, high extraction resistance and high chemical stability. Since this product has no lubricating effect, an appropriate lubricant should be added to the formulation. The weather resistance of this product is poor, and it has an odor. It cannot be used with lead or cadmium stabilizers, because the two may form colored sulfides. However, it can be used together with di-n-butyltin dilaurate to improve processability. The dosage of this product is generally 1-3 servings. In 1975, the world consumption of organotin stabilizers reached 25,000 tons. Organotin compounds are highly effective stabilizers. Their main characteristics are high transparency (especially for hard products), outstanding heat resistance, and resistance to sulfide pollution. With the increase in the demand for polyvinyl chloride hard transparent products With the reduction in the production cost of organotin compounds, the consumption of organotin stabilizers is increasing. This product has low toxicity. The oral LD50 of rats is 1277 mg/kg.
