Description

Structurally, it contains both a carboxylic acid group and an α,β-unsaturated double bond (CH₂=C(CH₃)COOH). At room temperature, it exists as a colorless liquid or low-melting solid (m.p. 15°C) with a strong acidic odor. It readily undergoes polymerization and is typically stored with inhibitors.

Separated from strong oxidants and food and feedstuffs. Cool. Keep in the dark. Keep in a well-ventilated room. Store only if stabilized.
