N-(2-Methylphenyl)-2-methylbenzenamine Use and Manufacturing

General procedure: A mixture of 2, 4-dimethylaniline (1.12ml, 8.9 mmol), 4-bromodibenzofuran (2g, 8.1 mmol) and sodium tert-butoxide (1.9g, 20 mmol) was suspended in 150ml of toluene. The solution was degassed and saturated with argon. Then added PdCl2(dppf)CH2Cl2 (132mg, 162 mmol). In a protective gas atmosphere and the reaction mixture was heated at boiling overnight. Silica gel with toluene and AlOx mixture was filtered and evaporated in a rotary evaporator. On silica gel with heptane purified oil. Produce 1.9g (82% of theory) of a pale brown oil.Purity 94% (HPLC). The following compounds were prepared analogously:
