Diethylacetoacetamide Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

The preparation method is obtained by condensation of diketene and diethylamine. According to the feeding ratio of diketene:diethylamine=1:1.05 (molar ratio), put a certain amount of diethylamine into the reaction pot, start stirring, and add diketene dropwise at 40～45℃. After the addition, keep it at (45±5)℃ for 1h to obtain acetoacetyldiethylamine with a content of more than 92%.

Uses

N,N-Diethylacetoacetamide is used as intermediate for the manufacture of insecticides, e.g. phosphamidon Product Data Sheet
