Put 100 kg of table salt into the purification kettle, add 399 kg of distilled water, and stir to dissolve. Prepare 3 mol of sodium hydroxide solution and 1.5 mol of sodium carbonate solution in the alkali tank. Mix the two in equal volumes. Then the mixture was added dropwise to the salt water, when the pH value reached about 11, the dropwise addition was stopped, and the mixture was heated and boiled and allowed to settle. After filtration, the filtrate was acidified with 6 mol hydrochloric acid. Adjust the pH to 7. Heat to evaporate and concentrate until sodium chloride precipitates out crystals. Filter, dry, and grind to obtain electroplating grade sodium chloride.
