Description

An unsaturated, cyclic hydrocarbon with a structure similar to benzene, in which one of the double bonds is replaced by a triple bond. It may be prepared from benzenediazonium-2-carboxylate or from isatoic anhydride.


1,2-didehydrobenzene is a benzyne and an aryne.
