SRP: At the time of review, criteria for land treatment or burial (sanitary landfill) disposal practices are subject to significant revision. Prior to implementing land disposal of waste residue (including waste sludge), consult with environmental regulatory agencies for guidance on acceptable disposal practices.
Sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate is an indirect food additive for use only as a component of adhesives.

A moderate explosion hazard when exposed to heat or flame. /Formaldehyde/
SRP: The scientific literature for the use of contact lenses in industry is conflicting. The benefit or detrimental effects of wearing contact lenses depend not only upon the substance, but also on factors including the form of the substance, characteristics and duration of the exposure, the uses of other eye protection equipment, and the hygiene of the lenses. However, there may be individual substances whose irritating or corrosive properties are such that the wearing of contact lenses would be harmful to the eye. In those specific cases, contact lenses should not be worn. In any event, the usual eye protection equipment should be worn even when contact lenses are in place.
A human skin and eye irritant. /Formaldehyde/
Drug Information

If swallowed it causes violent vomiting & diarrhea that can lead to collapse. Frequent or prolonged exposure can cause hypersensitivity leading to contact dermatitis, possibly of an eczematoid nature. /Formaldehyde/
formaldehydesulfoxylate
Rongalite Use and Manufacturing
Zinc powder sulfur dioxide formaldehyde method The slurry made of water and zinc powder reacts with sulfur dioxide gas to produce zinc hyposulfite, which is then gradually added to the second reactor pre-filled with formaldehyde solution. Under heating and stirring, the zinc powder is gradually added The reaction is carried out at 95~105°C to produce a formaldehyde suspension of basic zinc sulfoxylate, which is sent to the third reactor. The crystals are washed with water, and then left to stand. The clear liquid is extracted, and the caustic soda solution is added to react to generate hydrogen sulfoxylate. The suspension of sodium formaldehyde and zinc hydroxide is filtered, the filtrate is clarified, concentrated, crystallized, and crushed to obtain the finished product of sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate.
Mainly used in printing and dyeing industry as discharge agent, color discharge agent, reducing agent and activator of styrene butadiene rubber and synthetic resin, also used for decolorization and bleaching of some organic substances (such as: synthetic rubber, sugar, food industry bleaching) Agent), can be used instead of insurance powder under certain specific conditions.
