C.I. Direct Blue 86 Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Take copper phthalocyanine blue as raw material, sulfonate and neutralize with fuming sulfuric acid to obtain the product. After salting out, filtering, drying and crushing, the finished product is obtained. . Add 150g of oleum with a concentration of 104.5% to the reaction flask, increase the temperature to 50°C and maintain, slowly add 25g of copper phthalocyanine under stirring, continue stirring for 2h after the addition, and then increase to 65°C for 10h until the end of the sulfonation reaction . Cool down to below 40℃, pour the material into ice water and let it settle, pour off the supernatant water, filter the slurry, beat the filter cake with water, and add sodium carbonate aqueous solution until the pH value reaches 7-7.2 as the end point. Then it is dried and ground to obtain a finished product.

Uses

Mainly used for dyeing and printing of cotton, viscose, silk and other fabrics.
