Cuprous chloride Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Copper wire air oxidation method adds waste copper wire to the reactor, interacts with a certain concentration of common salt-hydrochloric acid feed solution, and slowly oxidizes the air at 60-70°C until the content of hydrochloric acid in the reaction solution reaches 10-15 g/ Until L. After standing to clarify, the upper cuprous chloride-sodium chloride solution is hydrolyzed to form a cuprous chloride precipitate, which is filtered, washed with hydrochloric acid and ethanol, and dried at 60-80°C to obtain a cuprous chloride product. Its 2Cu+2HCl+2NaCl{[O]}→2Na[CuCl2]+H2ONa[CuCl2][H2O]→CuCl+NaCl copper ash hydrochloric acid method is basically the same as the copper wire air oxidation method. Copper sulfate method: Add copper sulfate and common salt to the reactor for double decomposition reaction to produce copper chloride and sodium sulfate, filter to remove sodium sulfate, add sodium sulfite to the filtrate for reduction reaction, generate copper chloride precipitation and sodium chloride, filter After removing sodium chloride, washing with ethanol, and drying at 60-80°C, the finished cuprous chloride is obtained. The sulfur trioxide generated during the reduction reaction of CuSO4+2NaCl→CuCl2+Na2SO42CuC12+Na2SO3→2CuCl+2NaCl+SO3 is absorbed by soda ash solution to produce sodium sulfate.

Uses

As catalyst for organic reactions; catalyst, decolorizer and desulfuring agent in petroleum industry; in denitration of cellulose; as condensing agent for soaps, fats and oils; in gas analysis to absorb carbon monoxide.
