Melanoma is one of the most lethal cancers. Excessive exposure of the skin to ultraviolet (UV) radiation is the primary factor leading to skin cancer. It is evident that the most effective preventive measure is the use of sunscreen products. Sunscreen products rely on UV filters.
UV filters are specifically or primarily designed to protect the skin and/or hair from the effects of certain UV radiation by absorbing, reflecting, or scattering UV radiation. There are two types of UV filters available for sunscreens. The most commonly used one is referred to as organic filter sunscreen agents, which absorb UV radiation and then convert it into radiation safer for human skin.
