Do you understand 'sun protection'?
The sunscreen market is releasing huge potential! According to market research agency Transparency market Research, the global sun care market will grow at an average annual rate of 5.8%, and the global sun care market will reach $ 25 billion in 2024.
With the continuous improvement of consumers' sun protection awareness, the categories and demand scenarios of sun protection products are also expanding. In our common knowledge and common sunscreen products on the market, they are mainly divided into three categories: one, physical sunscreen; two, chemical sunscreen; three, physical + chemical sunscreen.
Sun protection only in summer! Year-round sunscreen spread
The idea that only summer is regarded as the "sun protection season" is out! Sun protection is bound to run through the four seasons of the year, and sun protection begins to prevail throughout the year, which also spawns new business opportunities.
360 Marketing Institute pointed out in the "Cosmetic Industry Report" that the flow of sunscreen efficacy skin care products increased by 35.5% in 2018, and sunscreen is becoming a trend throughout the year.
What are SPF and PA?
SPF fights against UVB, a medium-wave ultraviolet that damages the epidermis and causes sunburn and sunburn. The SPF value, in simple terms, is the time multiple of the skin's resistance to UVB. Usually, we take 15 minutes as a quantization unit. SPF10 means that 15 minutes is extended by 10 times, and it can be delayed for 150 minutes.
PA fights against UVA, a kind of long-wave ultraviolet rays that reach the dermis and cause the skin to tan and age. The PA value represents the ability to defend against UVA and delay skin tanning.
What is physical sunscreen and chemical sunscreen?
We do not discuss the physical protection of sun protection products, that is, reflection and shielding, under the premise of wearing pure physical shields such as wearing hats and long sleeves; chemical protection, that is, absorption and metabolism.
Physical sunscreen products are relatively less irritating, but it should be noted that the thickness of the application must be ensured to be effective, and it is easily affected by sweating and other conditions, pay attention to frequent application.
The relative texture of chemical sunscreen products is relatively refreshing, but ordinary consumers may not understand that its absorption capacity has an upper limit. If the upper limit is exceeded, it will damage the skin cells and structure.
Biological sunscreen? New noun?
Biological sunscreen is actually not a new term. Its essence is to enhance the skin's own immunity and resistance to UV by blocking or repairing UV damage.
Biological sunscreen should be the most low-irritation, zero-burden system at the same time, at the same time, it can effectively establish an ultraviolet protective screen and reduce skin moisture loss. But why are there not many such products on the market? Because these substances are generally extracted from plants, which have shortcomings of poor stability and unstable storage, general cosmetics companies rarely use them as sunscreens.
