EU releases risk assessment of ochratoxin A in food
On May 13, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) issued a risk assessment on Ochratoxin A in food.
It is understood that ochratoxin A is a toxic fungal secondary metabolite produced by Aspergillus and Penicillium strains, has strong liver toxicity and kidney toxicity, and has teratogenic, mutagenic and carcinogenic effects Contaminants in food.
