Wanhua Chemical's 480,000-ton bisphenol A plant was successfully started up in one go

On November 21, the 480,000 tons/year bisphenol A device of Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd., which was designed by Jilin Engineering, successfully produced qualified products, and the indicators were higher than the design requirements, realizing the success of one-time feeding and start-up.

It is reported that Wanhua Chemical bisphenol A integration project covers an area of 360,000 square meters, mainly constructing 530,000 tons of cumene, 650,000 tons of phenolacetone, 480,000 tons of bisphenol A, etc. The project started in September 2020, of which 480,000 tons/year bisphenol A plant as an important device of the integrated project, using the patented technology of Badger Company of the United States, the nitrogen granulation and recombinant part hydrolysis process selected by it is the first in China, which is not only the first industrial application of the patent manufacturer, but also the first design of Jilin Engineering. This technology uses phenol and acetone as raw materials, cation exchange resin as catalyst for condensation, alkylation reaction and evaporative cooling crystallization technology to produce high-quality bisphenol A products.
