India appoints Alexander Gerding as Managing Director
The board of directors of BASF India Limited have appointed Alaxander Gerding as the Managing Director for a term of 5 years, effective January 1st, 2023, and will succeed Narayan Krishnamohan.
The resignation of Narayan Krishnamohan was accepted by the board of directors with effect from the close of business hours on December 31st, 2022.
Gerding has also been appointed as the chairman of the Risk Management committee and member of the Stakeholders Relationship committee, effective January 1st, 2023. Gerding has been with BASF for more than 22 years, and have handled responsibilities in Germany, United States, and Argentina among other countries. Presently, Gerding is the vice president of Business Management Agriculture Solutions EMEA East, since 2019.
On the other hand, Anil Kumar Choudhary has been appointed as the whole-time Director of the company for a term of 5 years, effective January 1st, 2023. Choudhary has also been appointed as a Member of Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and Stakeholders relationship Committee, effective 1st January 2023, in place of Rajesh Naik.
