BENEO Push Organic Chicory Root Fiber
Functional ingredient supplier Beneo has launched two new organic ingredients, organic glutinous rice starch Remyline O AX DR and organic chicory root fiber Orafti Organic, further consolidating its market leading position.
Organic waxy rice starch Remyline O AX DR completes the brand's existing glutinous rice starch product portfolio and will be launched globally from July. It is the earliest of its kind in the market and provides new possibilities for product development.
As glutinous rice starch, it does not contain amylose, so it has better stability and can reduce dehydration shrinkage, which helps to keep the product texture stable throughout the shelf life. Remyline O AX DR is suitable for fruit products as well as meat and poultry applications.
Organic chicory root fiber Orafti Organic is grown and harvested locally by Belgian certified organic farmers, after careful cultivation and selection. Orafti Organic will be available in September and is the first product of its kind to enter the market.
Orafti Organic can help manufacturers add natural prebiotic fibers to improve taste and texture, while also reducing fats and sugar in products from key applications such as dairy products, cereals, baking and confectionery.
