Peru is expected to be among the world's top 10 fruit suppliers this year

Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) recently reported that so far this year, Peru has exported $5 billion worth of fruit, accounting for more than 50% of agricultural exports, with this achievement, Peru is expected to be among the world's top ten fruit suppliers.
 
The Peruvian newspaper La República reported on December 4 that Walter Puelles Navarrete, director of the Peruvian Agency for Development and Information Processing, recalled that last year, Peru ranked 11th in the list of fruit suppliers, and this year, Peru is expected to be in the top ten as fruit exports continue to grow.
 
Els pointed out that blueberries are the most exported fruit in Peru, with exports of Peruvian blueberries exceeding $772 million in the first nine months of this year alone, an increase of 30% over the same period last year; The export volume was about 137,400 tons, a year-on-year increase of 45%.
 
Fresh grapes ranked second in Peruvian fruit exports, with exports of fresh grapes exceeding US$594 million from January to September this year, an increase of 12% year-on-year; The export volume was about 252,000 tons, an increase of 9% year-on-year.
