Canada sought advice on the registration of chlorofluoropyridinate and herbicides containing the ingredient

foodmate 2022-12-16

On December 15, 2022, Health Canada released Advisory Paper PRD2022-17, which states that the Pest Management Agency (PMRA) intends to approve the registration of chloropyridine (Florpyrauxifen-benzyl) and herbicides containing this ingredient.

The main elements of this call for comments are the use of chlorofluoropyridinate for weed management in hazelnuts and for non-agricultural/industrial vegetation management, including many invasive species, and for aquatic vegetation management to control invasive plants in and around water.

The public comment period for this registration is from December 15, 2022 to January 30, 2023.
