Dr. G. Ramakrishnan Receives ISAS Lifetime Achievement Award
Dr. G. Ramakrishnan, President, Chromatographic Society of India (CSI) & Honorary Director, SIES Institute of Chromatography and Spectroscopy, has received the Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS) Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award was presented to him during the Indian Analytical Science Congress (ISAC)-2018 held at Kumarakom, Kerala from February 8-10, 2018, in recognition of his contributions in promoting advancement of science and technology, especially in the area of education in chromatography and spectroscopy through CSI and SIES Institute of Chromatography and Spectroscopy over the past several years.
The award was handed over by Dr. U. Kamachi Mudali, Chairman and Chief Executive, Heavy Water Board, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, in the presence of Dr. S.K. Malhotra, President, ISAS; Dr. V.B. Nair, Chairman, IASC-2018; and other dignitaries.
Established in 1983, ISAS is one of the oldest professional scientific organizations in India, and has several State Chapters and a few thousand Life Members.
“Together let us continue the education in chromatography and spectroscopy, the two areas that has maximum impact in whatever we do in our every day life,” Dr. Ramakrishnan said on receiving the award.
