The Finnish Food Agency has extended the validity of the food labelling exemption until April 2023

foodmate 2022-12-30

On 21 December 2022, the Finnish Food Agency announced its decision to extend the validity period of the exemption on food labelling until 30 April 2023. According to the decision issued on September 12, 2022 this year, the validity period was originally extended to December 31, 2022.

The further extension of the exemption from food labelling is due to the continuing anomaly caused by the war in Ukraine, where the availability of raw food ingredients continues to change. The Finnish Food Agency has recommended that operators in the food industry correct food packaging labels to comply with food regulations by 30 April 2023.
