A kiln collapsed at a coking plant in Shanxi, causing 2 deaths and 6 injuries

During the construction of refractory bricks in the quenching tank of the 190t/h CDQ project of Shanxi Jinda Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., the masonry partially collapsed, causing 2 deaths and 6 injuries.

At 8 o'clock on August 12, 2020, in Shanxi Jinda Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., the general contractor of Beijing Shougang International Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., the masonry partially collapsed during the construction of refractory bricks in the quenching tank of the 190t/h CDQ project. 2 people died and 6 were slightly injured.

After the accident, the Xiaoyi Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government attached great importance to them. The main leaders quickly made arrangements and deployments. The leaders in charge of the municipal government rushed to the scene to direct rescue as soon as possible, and established departments for emergency management, public security, health, fire protection, and Wutong Town. The formed leading group of accident emergency response has actively carried out accident rescue and disposal work.

At present, the condition of the wounded is stable, and the aftermath of the accident and investigation are being carried out in an orderly manner.
