Overview of the Current Market Situation
In August, the price of Azithromycin remained stable at a high level. Price rose at the end of August because of exchange rate changing. In mid-August, some suppliers stopped production for maintenance, and the maintenance will last for one month. Therefore, the operating rate of suppliers has declined. Most suppliers still have no inventory and a backlog of orders. On the market side, the domestic trade market demand decreased. Demand in the foreign trade market has increased because of the continuation of the epidemic. The supply of upstream raw material Erythromycin thiocyanate is tight and prices are rising. Therefore, the price of azithromycin remained high and stable in August.
