Yongnong Biological sprints the world's largest producer of glufosinate-p with entire industrial chain
During the Spring Festival holiday, Ningxia Yongnong did not stop production and projects. The production line of 35,000 tons of Methyldiethoxyphosphine and 20,000 tons of Glufosinate ammonium, which are planned to be put into production this year, are working overtime to build.
In 2018, Ningxia Yongnong settled in Ningdong Energy Chemical Base, engaged in the research and development, production and sales of highly effective pesticide techbicals and intermediates, which is one of the four production bases of Zhejiang Yongnong. Zhejiang Yongnong is the first enterprise to develop and industrialize the production of Glufosinate ammonium in China and also the first of glufosinate-p in the world.
"In May 2021, the phase I project of Ningxia Yongnong was completed and put into operation. The Methyldiethoxyphosphine produced is an important intermediate of Glufosinate ammonium technical. It adopts the world's advanced methane process and uses natural gas and phosphorus trichloride as the main raw materials. It is continuously produced through pipeline reactor. Its output value will reach ¥1.08 billion in 2022. In July 2022, the Diquat project was completed and put into operation, and 90% of the products were exported, generating foreign exchange income of ¥690 million that year." Company vice general manager Xu Jingyu introduced.
"At present, the technical we produce accounts for about 20% of the international market share. The herbicide product 'Jinbaishu' is the first brand of similar products in China, accounting for about 30% of the domestic market share. Three out of 10 bottles of Glufosinate-p are produced by Yongnong Group.” Xu Jingyu said that we are gradually opening up the upstream and downstream industrial chain of Glufosinate ammonium. This year, we will focus on developing Glufosinate ammonium and the downstream Glufosinate-p. At the same time, we will extend the upstream product of Phosphorus trichloride to Methyldiethoxyphosphine. We aim to build the entire industrial chain of glufosinate-p Most raw materials such as liquid ammonia, methane and methanol required for production can be sourced locally in the Ningdong base, which reduces the production cost.
Xu Jingyu introduced that this year, the 4 production lines of our company have been put into production, is expected to achieve output value of ¥2.5 billion, tax revenue exceeded ¥100 million, drive 800 people employment. In 2025, Ningxia Yongnong will realize its full designed capacity and reach 50,000 tons of Glufosinate-p production capacity. By then, Ningxia Yongnong will grow into the world's largest producer of glufosinate-p with entire industrial chain.
