Solvay launched the first low-carbon vanillin
On February 2, Solvay released a message that the company produced Rhovanil vanillin in its Saint-Feng factory in France. Its production process has passed the international sustainable development and carbon certification (ISCC) PLUS system certification, and the relevant process operation will follow the quality balance accounting system of the system. The product will also be launched soon.
Jo Grosemans, director of natural business development of Solvay, said that the first vanillin produced based on the quality balance standard and certified by ISCC PLUS in the industry could meet the needs of consumers and brand owners for improving sustainability, obtaining more renewable raw materials and reducing the carbon footprint of products. Grosemans said: "One of Solvay's strategies is to provide natural ingredients and sustainable ingredients for the food, beverage, essence and spice market. Providing customers with the world's first high-purity vanillin series products that have passed the ISCC PLUS quality balance certification can help them create a new solution." Maud Joassard, Solvay's marketing manager, said that the new Rhovanil product solution will be launched quickly, It can be used as a direct alternative solution to existing products.
Vanillin is mainly used in the food and spice industry, and also widely used in household and personal care products.
