The project with an output of 71000 t/a of pesticides and intermediates was located in Yumen, Gansu Province
Recently, Yumen Haotai Chemical’s environmental impact assessment of annual output of 71,000 tons of pesticides and intermediates project was published for the first time in Gansu information network. This company plans to build a set of Dimethyldisulfide production plant with an annual output of 10,000 tons, a set of Dimethyl sulfate production plant with an annual output of 20,000 tons and a set of Sodium sulfide production plant with an annual output of 40,000 tons in the Chemical Industry Park in Yumen Old District, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, with supporting public works and auxiliary projects.
Founded on November 25, 2022, it is registered in the business incubator base of Yumen City, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, and its business scope includes special chemical products manufacturing.
Dimethyldisulfide is used for the synthesis of organophosphorus insecticides, the intermediates of Fenamithion and the intermediates of 4-(methylsulfanyl)phenol, and is also used as a solvent and catalyst.
Dimethyl sulfate can be used in the synthesis of organophosphorus insecticides, other fungicides and other herbicides. As an important Alkylating Agent, it is often used to replace Haloalkane as methylating reagents in organic synthesis to carry out O-methylation and N-methylation reactions. It can be used in the synthesis of insecticidal and acaricidal agents such as Methamidophos, Acephate, Pirimicarb and f Nissol.
Sodium sulfide as an important reducing agent, involved in the production of many chemical products, such as important pesticide intermediate 1,2-diaminobenzene.
