Bayer sees substantial growth in 2022
In the 2022 financial report released by Bayer Group recently, sales increased by 8.7% year-on-year to 50.739 billion euros. Both sales and earnings increased significantly.
The financial report also shows that Bayer's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) excluding special items in 2022 will increase by 20.9% year-on-year to 13.513 billion euros; net income will be 4.150 billion euros, far exceeding the 1 billion euros in 2021. Core earnings per share from continuing operations increased by 22.0% year-on-year to 7.94 euros. Werner Baumann, chairman of the Bayer AG Board of Management, said at a news conference that despite the challenging environment, 2022 was a successful year for Bayer, meeting the financial targets for the upgrade set in August 2022.
