Dow's Zhangjiagang organic silicon monomer plant shut down
The hydrolysis equipment of Dow Wacker's Zhangjiagang monomer plant has leaked. Currently, the entire line has been shut down and repairs are underway, which is expected to last about a week. Dow's Zhangjiagang monomer production capacity is 400,000 tons, which is an important monomer supplier. The shutdown will make the already short DMC more in short supply, which may further push up the price of raw materials and even drive the price of downstream products. From the market perspective, some manufacturers have raised the prices of DMC and D4 yesterday (3rd), and prices of raw rubber and 107 rubber have also risen.
DMC latest offer
Xin'an Chemical: With a total production capacity of 500,000 tons, the current plant is operating smoothly. DMC quoted an external price of 33,000 CNY/ton of purified water for delivery, and the actual order was negotiated.
Tangshan Sanyou: The annual production capacity of monomer is 200,000 tons, and two sets are currently in operation. DMC will not accept orders for the time being, and will not report on closing. Orders are mainly accepted in the pre-production period.
Luxi Chemical Industry: The annual production capacity of monomer is 80,000 tons, and the unit is currently operating smoothly. DMC's external quotation was maintained today, and 32,700 CNY/ton of purified water was remitted to the price.
Shandong Jinling: The annual monomer capacity is 150,000 tons, and the unit is currently operating smoothly. DMC is temporarily not accepting orders and not quoting externally.
Zhejiang Zhongtian: The annual production capacity of monomer is 120,000 tons, and there are plans to build 150,000 tons in the future. The device is currently parked, and the restart date is not clear yet. DMC will not report the disk closure.
Hubei Xingfa: The annual production capacity of a single unit is 360,000 tons, and the current three sets are in operation with an average load of about 80%. DMC today quoted a price of 33,000 CNY/ton of purified water, including tax, to be accepted and sent to the price, and the actual order was negotiated.
Shandong Dongyue: The annual production capacity of a single unit is 300,000 tons. At present, two sets have been opened and one set has been shut down for maintenance since the 24th. DMC's output is mainly for personal use. No orders or external quotations will be made temporarily.
Inner Mongolia Hengyecheng: The annual production capacity of monomer is 240,000 tons, and the plant is currently under operation at about 80%. DMC quoted an external price of 33,500 CNY/ton of purified water for delivery, and the actual order was negotiated.
Jiangxi Xinghuo: The annual production capacity of single unit is 400,000 tons. Currently, two sets of devices are fully opened, with an average load of 90%. There is a 35-day maintenance plan during the Spring Festival. DMC will not accept orders for the time being today, and will not report on closing. The manufacturers have tightly arranged orders.
