How Was the Acetone Market This Week?
The Chinese acetone market inched down this week. Up to June 21, 2018, closing prices for acetone in Jiangsu were in the range of RMB 4,550-4,650/mt, down RMB 325/mt or 6.6% week on week. The average price was RMB 4,712/mt, down RMB 213/mt or 4.32% week on week.

Recently, phenolic ketone units in PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical and CCS restarted, and the supply increased. However, the downstream demand was weak. Given the unbalanced supply and demand, holders were bearish about the coming market.
