DuPont's first-quarter results top expectations
DuPont announced its results for the first quarter of 2023, and the company's first-quarter performance exceeded expectations.
The performance report shows that DuPont's first-quarter revenue fell 8% year-on-year to $3 billion, higher than the expected $2.94 billion; operating profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was $714 million; adjusted earnings per share in the first quarter Earnings came in at $0.84, beating estimates by $0.8. For the second quarter, the company expects net sales of approximately $3.02 billion and EPS of approximately $0.84. For 2023, the company expects net sales of US$12.3 billion to US$12.5 billion; earnings per share of US$3 to US$3.7.
