Eurofragance Opens New Creative Center in Jakarta to Expand Its Asian Footprint

ECHEMI 2025-12-09

Barcelona-based fragrance company Eurofragance has opened its first creative center in Indonesia, strengthening its regional presence and innovation capabilities in Asia-Pacific. Located in South Jakarta’s Arkadia Green Park, the new center represents a €1 million investment (approximately IDR 192.7 billion) and will serve as a regional hub for co-creation, formulation development, and customer collaboration across fine fragrance, home care, and personal care categories.

The launch comes as Indonesia’s fragrance market accelerates, driven by increasingly discerning consumers and rising demand for locally inspired scents. With Southeast Asia’s perfume sector expected to grow at a CAGR of over 3% through 2030, Indonesia is positioned to lead the region’s momentum.

As part of Eurofragance’s global creative center network—spanning Barcelona, Dubai, Mexico City, India, and Singapore—the Jakarta facility enhances the company’s ability to deliver fragrances tailored to local needs. Equipped with advanced perfumery, evaluation, and application labs, the center brings Eurofragance’s creative and technical teams closer to customers in Indonesia and across Asia-Pacific.

“Indonesia sits at the heart of Southeast Asia’s fragrance landscape—creative, diverse, and increasingly sophisticated,” said Balwinder Rolley, Eurofragance’s General Manager for Asia-Pacific. “Establishing a creative and technical center here allows us to collaborate more closely with partners, accelerate concept-to-product development, and design fragrances that truly reflect local preferences.”

Covering more than 770 m² and operating under PT. Euronindo Fragance Internusa, the center incorporates Eurofragance’s proprietary technologies, including EuroCaps for long-lasting performance and EuroPure for malodor neutralization. It will also function as a training and talent hub to support Indonesia’s expanding fragrance industry. Its multidisciplinary team—perfumers, evaluators, application specialists, along with marketing and sales experts—works together to translate consumer insights into distinctive olfactive solutions.

Aligned with Eurofragance’s commitment to sustainable innovation, the Jakarta site adopts environmentally responsible practices in formulation, sourcing, and operations, from renewable ingredients to energy-efficient processes.

“Jakarta is a natural choice for our expansion—an incubator of trends and cultural inspiration,” added Edy Chandra, General Manager of Eurofragance Indonesia. “Being here allows us to immerse ourselves in Indonesian culture and create fragrances that are not only high-quality but truly meaningful to local consumers.”

The opening follows the formal establishment of Eurofragance Indonesia in 2023 and builds on other regional milestones, including creative centers launched in Mumbai in 2024 and Singapore in 2016. Together, these developments reflect the company’s long-term commitment to Asia-Pacific and its ambition for growth through customer-centric innovation and local insight.
