Evonik cooperates with China Railway Bridge Building Protection special silane products and technologies

On June 9th, Evonik Special Chemical (Shanghai) Co., LTD., the Chinese subsidiary of Germany Evonik Industrial Group, and China Railway Bridge Survey and Design Institute Group Co., LTD., held a cooperation exchange meeting in Wuhan, and successfully signed a cooperation framework agreement. In the future, the two parties will cooperate in the research, development, testing and application of Evonik special silane products and technologies for building protection in infrastructure projects such as Bridges and roads.

Evonik's special silane products for building protection are dominated by the Dynasy® brand. Since 1934, when the first silane patents were obtained, Evonik and its predecessors have applied for and obtained more than 400 patents. Dynasy® Evonik was awarded the first patent for silane in 1934. Since then, Evonik and its predecessors have applied for and received more than 400 patents in this field. Decades of such successful innovation have enabled the growth of the Dynasy® product range.

Under the brand name Dynasy®, Evonik offers a comprehensive silane product group. These include mature products, such as aminosilane, as well as technologically complex products, such as Dynasy®HYDROSIL and multifunctional silane systems. The Dynasy® brand of organosilane is mainly used as an additive to improve adhesitivity or crosslinking, or to modify surfaces. However, silanes are increasingly being used as essential components of innovative processes, such as in state of the art sol-gel coatings and in applications beyond imagination.

The concept of the new Dynasy®SIVO® product combines this functional advantage with the decisive competitive factor: speed. Dynasy®SIVO®CLEAR and Dynasy®SIVO®210 are two already successful and new products for applications such as wood preservation and aqueous sol-gel coatings as well as more typical applications such as adhesives and solvents, colors and coatings. Multifunctional silanes branded Dynasy® will be obtained from the product groups HYDROSIL, SILFIN and SIVO as monomers or oligomers to achieve special effects.
