Pierre Fabre established a new cosmetics innovation center in Shanghai, China
Recently, following the establishment of research centers in France, Japan, and Brazil, Pierre Fabre, the parent company of the famous French cosmetics brand Eau Thermale Avène (hereinafter referred to as "Avène") and the world's second largest dermatology skincare giant, also established the Pierre Fabre China Innovation Center (CIC) in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, China. This year is also the 20th anniversary of the Avène brand entering the Chinese market.

It is reported that the Pierre Fabre China Innovation Center includes a formula laboratory and a space dedicated to consumer testing. It will have a multidisciplinary team composed of scientists, researchers, and technicians, specializing in biomedical and pharmacological innovation.
Anne Laure Gaudry, Director of the International Innovation Center for Pierre Fabre Dermatology and Cosmetics, said, "Thanks to our knowledge in medicine and science, as well as our expertise in formula, in the future we will use specific technologies to develop unique, innovative, and effective products for brands such as Avène, Klorane, and René Furtherer, while ensuring transparency and sustainable procurement, and checking through the Green Impact Index.”
Eric Ducournau, CEO of Pierre Fabre Group, stated that:“In recent years, we have collaborated with institutions such as Peking University Hospital to conduct dermatological research to deepen our understanding of the skin characteristics of Asians and tap into the needs of Chinese patients and consumers. The establishment of the China Innovation Center is an important milestone; it will become a catalyst for innovation and competitiveness in the Chinese market and the wider Asian market.”
Currently, driven by the success of its pharmaceutical and makeup brands Avène, Klorane, and professional hair care brand René Furterer, Pierre Fabre China became one of the leading international subsidiary of the group in the field of skin cosmetics.
