Proposed Revision of Azoxystrobin Import Limit in Sugar Beet Roots in Canada

On July 20, 2023, the Canadian Ministry of Health released PMRL2023-38 notification, in which the Pest Management Regulatory Agency proposed to revise the import limit of azoxystrobin in sugar beet roots. The proposed revision is as follows:

     This revision will not change the pesticide residue levels of azoxystrobin in foods grown in Canada.

During the consultation period from July 20, 2023 to October 3, 2023, stakeholders are encouraged to provide their feedback on the proposed revision.
