Syngenta: Flupyroxystrobin received ISO generic name
Syngenta Crop Protection has received ISO approval for its Strobilurins insecticide Flupyroxystrobin.
Structure of Flupyroxystrobin

Flupyroxystrobin was the first Strobilurin insecticide (non-acaricide), discovered by Imperial Chemical Industries and developed by its successor company Syngenta. It is speculated that its mechanism of action is the same as Azoxystrobin, Picoxystrobin, Fluacrypyrim and Pyriminostrobin and other similar varieties, all of which are respiratory inhibitors of Qo mitochondria.
As an insecticide, Flupyroxystrobin has no cross-resistance with Pyrethroids insecticides such as Permethrin, and has a synergistic effect with 4-Trifluoromethyl nicotinamide to knock down and kill Anopheles steinii.
