Syngenta's nicotinamide insecticide Flumetnicam received provisional ISO generic name approval
Recently, Syngenta's nicotinamide insecticide Flumetnicam has been provisially approved by ISO and will be formally approved after the six-month publicity period.
The compound is a metabolite of Flumetnicam and has insecticidal activity, and it has been included in the residual definition of Flumetnicam in food in the United States and the European Union. Some pesticide enterprises have applied for or obtained the insecticidal composition of the compound and other patents, including mosquitoes, cotton aphids, white whitefly, Nilaparvata legen and so on. The compound is used to prevent and control insect pests that harm agriculture and forestry, and shall be administered as pesticides according to Article 2 of the Regulations on Pesticide Management.
