Verescence and Albéa Collaborate to Introduce Premium Version of Refillable Jar 'TWIRL'
Verescence, a world leader in glass manufacturing for the Perfumery and Cosmetics industry, has joined forces with Albéa Cosmetics & Fragrance to present a premium iteration of Albéa's refillable cosmetic jar, known as 'TWIRL.' The official unveiling took place at Luxe Pack Monaco from October 2 to 4, 2023.
The base, crafted by Verescence in Spain, incorporates their unique "Infinite Glass 20" composition, which blends 20% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) glass while meeting the aesthetic standards of luxury brands.
The cap, inner jar, and seal, all produced at Albéa's facility in Simandre, France, are constructed from recyclable polypropylene (PP). The TWIRL jar was originally introduced in an all-plastic format in 2022, designed to facilitate a straightforward and rapid refill process. Combining glass and polypropylene further streamlines this process.
Bérangère Raguenet, Marketing and Communication Director at Verescence, states, "We were captivated by the concept of TWIRL and aimed to leverage our glass expertise to introduce a premium version into our product portfolio, responding to the growing demand from our customers for refillable jars. It offers a wide array of decorative possibilities, including the option to adorn the jar's interior using techniques like lacquering and pad printing."
Aline Roland, Marketing Director at Albéa Cosmetics & Fragrance, adds, "This accomplishment with Verescence checks many boxes: it blends aesthetics, functionality, and durability perfectly. Moreover, it offers customers a fully customizable solution."
Brands can tailor the jar to align with their brand's identity and strategy, incorporating PCR into the cap, altering the base and cap shapes, or implementing other customizations.
A Comprehensive Range
At this year's Luxe Pack Monaco event, Albéa's Cosmetics & Fragrance division introduced an entire range of TWIRL options. In addition to the original 50 ml standard, the jar is now available in 15 ml, 30 ml, and even 200 ml sizes to accommodate various formulas, skin care, and hair care applications.
"Promoting reusability is essential for achieving circularity in packaging and is a core focus in our product development. To encourage consumers to embrace refillable solutions in their daily routines, we need to make it simple and intuitive while providing brands with extensive customization options. That is the essence of the TWIRL concept," concludes Aline Roland.
