Evonik Joins Hands with Baolijia to Establish Bio-Based Joint Technology Platform

Evonik signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Baolijia, a Chinese leading emulsion manufacturer, to jointly build a bio-based joint technology platform with the help of leading technologies and R&D capabilities in their respective fields. The two parties will jointly explore new models and promote industrial transformation and upgrading, especially in the field of coating applications for methacrylic acid bio-based monomers and emulsion products, and carry out project cooperation in technical cooperation, achievement transformation and resource integration.

According to the agreement, Evonik will provide Baolijia with application and technical support for VISIOMER® bio-based methacrylate monomer products, as well as physical and chemical analysis, etc., to support Baolijia in developing bio-based acrylic emulsions with excellent performance and more sustainable and environmentally friendly advantages that meeting the application requirements in the coating field such as excellent adhesion, strength, high elongation, etc.
