On November 3, 2023, the Food Standards Agency of Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) announced the approval of Application No. A1267 through Notice No. 268-23. This approval permits the utilization of fructanase derived from genetically modified Trichoderma reesei as a processing aid.


The sanctioned fructanase, as specified in the notification, finds application in the processing of bakery products.
