Sipcam Nichino launches Torino (Fluazinam + Thiophanate-Methyl), a seed treatment fungicide
Recently, Brazil’s Sipcam Nichino has launched Torino, a seed treatment fungicide with active ingredients of Fluazinam and Thiophanate-Methyl, to protect crops from soil fungi and improve the germination potential of crops, which is recommended for irrigation of rice, beans, corn, soybeans and wheat crops. At present, Torino seed treatment agent is registered.
Torino is a broad-spectrum, inhaled and contact fungicide that promotes better crop growth in the field and increases crop productivity, according to the company's agronomists. Torino can also effectively act on dormant fungi or mycelium in seeds, preventing harmful bacteria from developing; Torino is a lower investment than other seed treatments, effectively reduces the risk of soil contamination, protects the seed throughout germination and emergence, and makes the crop more robust and resistant to adverse environmental or climate impacts, maximizing the productive potential of the crop.
Torino is also a strategic product that protects certain cash crops from disease. For example, in soybeans, Torino protects against seed decay, phomopsis, cercospora kikuchii, anthracnose, water rot and mucormycosis; In maize and wheat, Torino can control stem rot, as well as helminthosporium and rice blast; In legumes, Torino can control seed anthracnose, damping off, storage fungus and leukospora. In irrigated rice, Torino can control damping off, storage fungus, and so on.
