Google's Most Searched Beauty Products and Categories of 2023

Global Cosmetic Industry 2023-12-14

Google's new Holiday 100 for 2023 comprises gift ideas "based on trending searches throughout the year." The beauty sector highlights a number of lifestyle trends and hero products across makeup, skin care and wellness.

On the list are Mielle's Rosemary Mint Hair Strengthening Oil; since its launch, the SKU was single-handedly responsible for a massive spike in online searches regarding rosemary and hair care and became the top hair oil in the U.S. market (per the brand).

Also trending in hair are the Shark HyperAir Hair Dryer (searches up 300% in 2023), Dyson's Airstrait Straightener and K18's Hair Mask, the latter reflecting strength in the bond-building category.

In makeup, Google has listed Rare Beauty's Liquid Blush, Nudestix's Bronzer Stick and Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. Also trending? Glamnetic Press-On Nails.

In skin care/body care, top trending products included Starface Hydro Stars, La Roche-Posay's Cicaplast Hand Cream and Summer Fridays' Lip Butter Balm.

In grooming, Harry's razors were trending this year.

Other categories on the list are green tea deep cleanse masks, hair claw clips and aromatherapy eye masks.
